FAQ – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

A small dash of Philosophy:
Remember that you are going to foreign and different countries. Things will be strange. What we may take for granted here may be unusual there. Your mental attitude toward those differences is very important and an acceptance of them will make your trip much more enjoyable.

• How to make a reservation?

• How to cancel?
All cancellation have to be sent in writing. You will find the cancellation conditions under Terms & Conditions

• What is the payment condition?
In order to block space we ask for US$ 100.00 or € 100.00 per person. Final payment will be 8 weeks prior to departure unless otherwise stated in our offer.
We accept private checks, company checks and wire transfer.

No credit cards accepted for land arrangement only for cruise bookings.

• When do I get the travel documents?
Travel documents will be sent out after final payment is made.

• When do I pay for the optional tours?
All optional tours have to be paid on spot to the Tour Manager.

• How much cash money shall I take with me?
Most of the places accept credit card but cash might be necessary for small purchases like beverages or post cards etc…about € 10.00 – € 15.00 per person/day should be ok.

• Should I purchase any travel protection?
We highly recommend to purchase a travel insurance.

• How much luggage can I take with me?
1 suitcase per person and 1 carry-on luggage will be accepted.

• At what time does the coach leave in the morning during a trip?
In case of booking an escorted tour your Tour Manager will advise the exact departure time.

• Can I book the flight arrangement with you?
Please contact your local travel agency for your flight or use one of the internet flight booking machines.

• Is it possible to combine the tours?
Yes, you are very welcome to combine the tours. You will find the tour schedule on the top of our website.

• Are the tips/gratuities for the driver and tour manager included?
No, they are not included. This is a personal matter, however we recommend US$ 10.00 (split up among the driver and tour manager) per person/day.

• Which room size can I expect?
Please bear in mind that European hotels and especially historical places like castles provide charming rooms with different styles within the building. No hotel room is the same.

• Can you provide an ECV (Electric Convenience Vehicle)?
We are sorry to advise that in Europe the ECV are not standard (it can neither be rented nor do our busses have a lifting system.

• How are the meals in restaurants or hotels?
You will enjoy a mixture of international and local meal during your trip. In case of any problems due to allergy please advise latest 1 week before departure so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

• How big are the groups?
The groups size will be between 15 and 35 persons during an escorted tour. If the groups does not reach the minimum number of participants the tour might not take place.

• Shall I take my hair dryer with me?
Most of the hotels provide a hair driver in every room. Please bear in mind that in Europe 220 Volt at 50 cycles will be used. If your electric equipment has a transformer you can use this item together with an adapter to plug in.

• Are beverages included?
No beverages are included.

• When is check-in time at the hotel ?
Generally European hotels have you checked in at 2.00 PM. If your room is already available it might be earlier.

• Can I use my US Cell phone?
Please contact your US cell phone provider for information.

• What are the VISA requirements?
US citizens do not require visas for EC countries if you do not stay in the EC country longer than 3 months. In case of any question please contact the consulate.

• Are the cities safe?
Generally European cities are very safe, but you schould always be carefull when you travel.
