BAVARIA & SALZBURG
Munich, Oberammergau, Salzburg & Freising


 

1st Day: Departure U.S.A

2nd Day: Arrive Munich
We arrive in Munich and transfer to our hotel. The afternoon will be at leisure to explore the city center. In the evening we will attend a traditional dinner and enjoy typical Bavarian “Gemütlichkeit”. (D)

3rd Day: Munich – Oberammergau
At 9:30 a.m. we depart for our morning sightseeing tour of Munich including the outside visit of Nymphenburg Palace. After lunch (not included) wehave some time for visits of museums or shopping. In the late afternoon we continue on to Oberammergau and check in at the hotel. Evening on our own. (B)

4th Day: Oberammergau
The morning we enjoy a full day excursion to Neuschwanstein Castle.
Seven weeks after the death of King Ludwig II in 1886, Neuschwanstein was opened to the public. The shy king had built the castle in order to withdraw from public life – now vast numbers of people came to view his private refuge.
Today Neuschwanstein is one of the most popular of all the palaces and castles in Europe. (B)

5th Day: Departure Oberammergau – Salzburg
We leave Oberammergau in the morning and stopp at Linderhof Palace, one of the residences of King Ludwig II. After the indoor visit we continue our trip to Salzburg, the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Afternoon at leisure. In the evening we all get together for dinner. (B, D)

6th Day: Salzburg
9.30 a.m. Today we enjoy a half day sightseeing tour with a walk through Salzburg. After your lunch (not included) at a typical restaurant in the old town we can explore this town on our own. (B)

7th Day: Salzburg – Freising
9.00 a.m. We return to Bavaria via the "autobahn" along the Lake Chiemsee. After departure we enjoy visiting the old part of Freising. Before we say goodbye we get together for a farewell dinner. (B, D)

8th Day: Departure Munich
After breakfast we will transfer to the airport for a flight back home. (B)
